Windows Media Centre (1 Viewer)

I installed Mediaportal on my windows 7 PC because Windows Media Centre would not record to a network drive. However, I soon discovered that Mediaportal uses a file format (.ts) that is not supported by some of the DLNA devices I use. When I uninstalled mediaportal and tried to use Windows Media Centre again, the programme will no longer work and does not detect my tuner card (it used to work ok). I've tried doing a Windows 7 update to reinstall windows media centre but this hasn't worked and I am loath to do a clean install as this is quite a hassle. I guess mediaportal has changed some settings in widows 7 that prevents wmc from working. Any ideas what?. Very many thanks

Hi there,

there is a policy that you can enable/disable in the tv-server config: Additional 3rd party checks - MediaPortal Wiki

Just reinstall tvserver and disable this policy, maybe that helps.
