WinLIRC process plugin will not load with RC3 (1 Viewer)

While I understand that this plugin is quite old and (apparently) virtually unsupported at this point, it worked with RC2, so I was somewhat surprised to find it not work with RC3.

The error logged is:

3/21/2006 8:22:59 PM Unable to start plugin:MediaPortal.WinLIRC3.WinLIRCReceive exceptionystem.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'MediaPortal.Profile.Xml' from assembly 'Core, Version=1.0.2268.32715, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

I really don't have another good remote option at this point (I use WinLIRC with a learning remote), so any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

Basically the plugin needs a recompile against current CVS. The namespace for the XML config interface has been renamed from MediaPortal.Profile.Xml to MediaPortal.Profile.Settings. Your best bet is to ask the developer of that plugin to do so, or try to get your hands on the source code and hope for someone else to do it.

Recompile WinLIRC3?

I obtained the source from

but I do not have an appropriate development environment in which to recompile this plugin.

Is there a kind developer that would be willing to try to recompile this plugin?

It might also be worth noting that the configuration support for this plugin has not worked since 0.1.3.0 (i.e. it last worked in 0.1.2.0), but many of us have been happily using it with just the runtime support, modifying the keymap xml file by hand, when necessary.

WinLIRC3.dll for MP 0.2.0.0 RC3 built

I managed to recompile the plugin with the latest MP from CVS, and the original author posted the results to the site mentioned above.
