[QUOTE="ingvar, post: 74447, member: 20512"] Area: Media Portal Program MP Version: MediaPortal 0.2.0.2 Skin: mce Windows Version: WinXP, SP2 CPU Type: ADM 64, 3000+ Memory: 1 G Motherboard Chipset: nVidea nForce3 250 Video Card: Inno 3D G-Force 6600 Video Card Driver: driver version you used for testing Video Card Resolution: your desktop resolution Video Render Type: VMR9 Video Codec Type & Version: MPV Audio Codec Type & Version: MPA TV Card: Hauppauge hvr 1300 Remote: Hauppauge TV: Samsung lcd Hi, I have happily used MP for more than half a year, last 0.2.0.2. Hauppauge HVR 1300 and WinXP Pro SP2 (unfortunately unligitimate copy). All functions I needed worked nicely. A week ago I had to make a clean system and used my legitimate WinXP home and updated it to SP2. No change in hardware. I used the latest drivers for Hauppauge and to my recollection followed the same stepps as I used in WinXP pro (actually the steps pointed out in "HowTo Install WindowsXP and MediaPortal without the headache"). MP crashes in the initial wizard when it should open the first tuning menue. My question before I start another tidius session with Googling and searching the forum (which I already have done for a coupple of days): Are there any known issues I should consider like special codecs or versions of drivers or needed processes with HVR 1300 and XP Home?
