WinXP MCE and MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Everyone,

I am new to this whole world and purchased a new Dell and purposely got it with MCE on it. I do not have Cable or Sat. TV and purchased and ATI HDTV Wonder card so I could take advantage of watching, recording, etc. all the over the channels delivered via HDTV (which basically amount to just the local channels). I come to find out that a limitation of MCE is that you at least need an analog card (and then the HDTV card) in order to allow MCE to view this.

My question is, with my computer and having MCE - can I use MediaPortal installed on this system and have MCE on there as well? Can I just use my ATI card alone using MediaPortal?
