Would like a skin that displays long tags without so much scrolling

I've been using aMPed 3.6 in MP 1.5. My file names/titles/mp3 tags tend to be quite long, so when I use list view for my music/videos, I have to wait for the entire name to scroll into view. For me the space is wasted, because I would rather use the room taken up by the nature pictures ( although they are pretty) to display file information on my wide screen. I must be content with a rather small space at the top, where the info scrolls vertically, and the horizontal list view requires a lot of scrolling for long tags, as well. Couldn't that space in the center be used so more info could be displayed at once? Is there a way to make aMPed to do this? If not, is there another MP skin that would serve the purpose? It would be good if the skin was compatible with the RadioTime plugin, BTW. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
