Set something to record last night on Channel FIVE. This was setup via EPG so data was / is there. Check tv.log.bak in here and you see

    Code:
2009-10-26 20:57:08.000000 [Scheduler timer]: Scheduler: Time to record FIVE 20:57-22:00 FlashForward
But when it actually comes to record you get
    Code:
2009-10-26 20:57:24.109375 [Scheduler timer]: Scheduler: MakeFileName() using "seriesformat" (_isSerie=True)
    2009-10-26 20:57:24.500000 [Scheduler timer]: Scheduler : record to F:\Recordings\FIVE\manual 2009-10-26\manual.ts
    2009-10-26 20:57:24.515625 [15]: Recorder.start add audioVideoEventHandler
    2009-10-26 20:57:24.515625 [15]: card: StartRecording 2 F:\Recordings\FIVE\manual 2009-10-26\manual.ts
    2009-10-26 20:57:24.515625 [15]: StartRecording to F:\Recordings\FIVE\manual 2009-10-26\manual.ts
    2009-10-26 20:57:24.515625 [15]: subch:0 StartRecord(F:\Recordings\FIVE\manual 2009-10-26\manual.ts)
This leaves me with a recording with no EPG data stored against it and just called manual.

I have FIVE on both DVB-T and DVB-S and channels are linked.

This happened with same series last week and I had to manually go in and edit xml file to add EPG info / recording name etc.

I see this every once in a while but not very often, last time on Saturday when I was (scheduled) recording Top Gear and it showed up as "Manual" in recordings. The EPG data for the show was there when the recording started so I'm not sure what could cause this?

I didn't have any simultaneous/overlapping recordings on Saturday and when the recording started my HTPC was idling in the EPG view (not sleeping/in standby).

Don't have any useful logs for that recording I'm afraid :(

I have exactly the same problem, using MP 1.1.0 beta

Scheduled recording no overlap TV server not in standby. It does nicely records but in recorded tv it displays"manual"

Is that because the program is just 5 minutes later that day as it was when i set the program up te record ?

Propably yes, as TVE3 picks up the program name from the EPG data. Try using "record always on this channel" option. I wont start the recodring on specific time, but instead it will record the show no matter when it runs (and it will pick up the correct EPG data as well).

ok, i get what your saying, but here in holland it is very common that series are repeated during the day also for example when i want to record a serie on animal planet series or better said episodes are repeated 3 times a day. So then i get 3 recording a day from one episode. OK i just have to delete them but i have 3 tuners and last nightit didn't record something else because tuners were full because of recording double episodes.

Istn't there a way to say record by names on this channel but ONLY FIRST TIME. I believe Windows Media Center has that option. Isn't there any plugin or so I have been looking at 4therecord but as i understand it right it's separated from MP

    Regards
