I am having trouble getting x264 to decode via hardware. I have latest PDVD installed and have the correct PDVD codec selected in MP. Some videos play fine, some i get no video only audio and some simply do nothing. Is there a way to work around this or should I simply ditch the hardware decoder and buy a faster CPU and use a software decoder.

another issue I have is when xp wakes, mpeg2 breaks, i try to play a divxéxvid and nothing happens. reset the PC and it works again until i sleepéwake

The same for me - I have same chipset. As I have learned, x264 is not H264. The x264 does not fulfill some profile and thus it can't be decoded by the help of graphics card.

The question is how to configure the decoder filters/MP to accelerate H264 stuff by PDVD and use SW decoder like CoreAVC for x264.
