Hi all,
If started to play with credentials inside Youtube site, so I can access my "watch later" category from within onlinevideos...
You can see my "history" here. Interesting conversation with offbyone (I asume...
) by the way.
I've got a Youtube account created inside Youtube before Google bought it (2008). Also I've got my Google account, with Youtube "service" active, which is what I usually use inside Youtube, so it's the one I would like to use inside Onlinevideos.
Problem: If I configure my usual Google account, let's call it google1 (I've tested with and without @gmail.com) in credentials, I DON'T receive wrong credentials error when I enter any personal category, but another one which says: "Error getting dynamic categories". If I configure my old Youtube account, there's no problem, and I can access my personal categories.
Workaround: If I "bind" my old Youtube account with my Google accound (you can do it inside account config), then I CAN use my Google account credentials inside Onlinevideos, and I can see my personal categories...
BUT: I would like to keep my old Youtube account and my Google account separate...
Curiosity: When I registered my Youtube account (2008), I used an alternate gmail address (not my usual "google1" gmail address). When I bind my Youtube account with my google1 account, then my google2 account should act exactly the same as my google1 account... BUT actually it's NOT... I still CAN use those credentials inside Onlinevideos... I asume it's because this google2 account was the gmail contact info for my Youtube account when I created that.
SO: My though is that Onlinevideos can't use plain Google account with Youtube access. Maybe a Youtube API fault... ¿? Anyone which registered a gmail address recently, and after that started to use youtube, can confirm this problem?
Sorry for so long text... It's not easy to explain all tests I've done...
