Synopsis:

When zapping to another channel in fullscreen TV, the GUI doesn't disappear. Not in 2 seconds like I set in setup, even not in 60 seconds. And even not when I go back to the MyTV screen!

I get the same sort of thing occassionally but it always vanishes when I got to the "MyTV" screen and then back to fullscreen again.
I've never had it persist in the preview window.

Not sure what could be causing your problems. Does it happen every time or just occasionally?

I get it every time when I choose another channel with fullscreen TV. I'll check whether it disappears when I change channel in the MyTV screen.

I also have the same (very annoying) problem. I did forget you could set the timeout, but I forgot where.

If you have the same problem, you might enter the specifications of your system. It could help the guys to determine the real problem.

I've updated my sig now to reflect my specs. Should be below |

I use a modified Blue Two skin but the problem is nowhere near as severe as yours. It rarely hapens and fixes itself when I switch between fullscreen and preview. I didn't even think it was possible to have the osd in preview.

If it is really bad then I guess you could turn the transparency down so much you cant see it (as a short term solution). I would also be trying a different skin too.

OK, maybe it takes a few minutes for the sig to update, so here it is:

AMD 3000XP 512Mb RAM NForce2 Chipset GF5200 GFX dual compro T-300 DTV cards
MP v.2 RC1 with latest CVS on a Win MCE base
