Zap2it free TV listings XML is no more. (2 Viewers)

Hey Friend... not doing well here trying to get this zap2xml_5 going. What parms are you using in your bat file to run zap2xml_5..? These are what I use...
NewZap2xml_5 -u username@lycos.com -p password -d 14 -o tvguide.xml -i C:\ZAP2XML Install\Icons -I
I get an 'access denied' at runtime then my A/V blows the 'zap2xml_5' file away and on top of that I get locked out of folder access by my A/V forcing me to reboot. But this is not important... getting the damn zap2xml_5 working is whats giving me agita...
Any idea(s) besides hanging myself would be appreciated. Thx.

I use a Zap2xmlTASK.bat that contains:

Still chugging along here trying to figure this out. That you have yours working and I continue to fail is a clear indication of some level of incompetence on my part fer sure. I have mirrored your environment (I think) and set my bat file with the arguments as you have yours - Failure
I have attached the errors in hopes you or someone might recognize a demon I do not see.

I used the new "NewZap2xml_5.exe" program using the setup I had for the old Zap2xml program and it seemed to work. I have been using MC2XML up until the last week when it stopped working (using the hosts file trick which is no longer working). MC2XML completed in seconds, until now that it isn't working, and didn't require a password. I was using the XML to manually update Beyond TV 4. I liked Windows Media Center but I was struggling to keep it running. Both Beyond TV and Media Center had their own advantages and disadvantages.
I haven't updated with the new XML because it takes a lot of programming to use the different naming convention since the new XML lists Gracenote in the stations. Just curious, is there any way to change the NewZap2xml_5 to keep the station naming the same as the old Zap2XML naming? This would make things a lot easier.

I tested the latest newzap2xml_5.exe last night and windows defender
promptly quarantined newzap2xml_5.
I also downloaded another copy of mc2xml.exe from archive.org to test it.
I ran the initial setup graphical option and got a 'provider error'.
I have successfully used zap2xml, mc2xml, and epg-buddy over the years and had
success with all three at various times. My production server most recently has been
using mc2xml 1.7.2 and it no longer works either.

The error you are getting appears to be caused because you are not able to connect to gracenote using SSL most likely because you did not include the 3 library files that @antidot included with the zip file from post # 67. These 3 library files MUST be within the same directory as the newzap2xml_5.exe file.Hello Again Friend -> Noise672

Just an update: I used the new "NewZap2xml_5.exe" program using the setup I had for the old Zap2xml program and it worked. After creating the XML I opened it in Wordpad and replaced "gracenote.com" with "zap2it.com". This took over a half hour to complete with a spinning circle (proccessing) icon. I uploaded it into the DVR and the TV guide is there now.. It worked. When I'm feeling motivated I may change my DVR programming to use the station programming names with gracenote.com but for now I'm good.
I'd have to look up how to program Zap2xml but here is my programming:

If I recall correctly you have to set a default location in your profile/logon so it knows what to get.
I noticed that the icons are still working even though it shows them with "zap2it" in the URL. It shows them as <icon src="https://zap2it.tmsimg.com/assets/[Name of Icon].jpg" />. I wonder if this will change to "gracenote" at some time?

Than you for your input on this issue. I have attached snips of my environment and errors. As you can see, the files you noted as possibly missing are there. There could be something else missing I'm not aware as other users show files I don't have but don't know if they belong or are needed. Please review the attached for anything I might be missing(?) or additional feedback. Thanks Much.
PS: My TV Listings run out in a few days so (non-suicidal) desperation (panic) is setting in.

Bonjour Mes Ami, Friends, Amigos, Compadres... whatever. Success At Last. To all you smarter-than-me-people thank you for your help. After spinning my wheels for days I finally solved my problem... WINDOWS11 - Yup, the bastard .. Something was broke in it and I was not aware.
Figured something wrong when I couldn't login to Gracenote.com when I could do so on my Win10 machine. then putzing around with it I reinstalled MP to see if it was broken but no... Then I lost all my Taskbar Icons and that set me off the cliff. Got ready to reinstall Win11 but first did a system restore instead and voila..!!! It all worked. All glorious 14 days of TV guide data. Moved all resources to my actual MP machine on Win10 and happiness reigns again. The win10 machine does NOT trash the NewZap2xml_5 file like Win11. Thank you to @antidot and Noise672 and @voip-engineer007 and anyone I might have missed. I can sleep in peace now. Hasta la pasta all...!
