ive been using mediaportal for about a week now and ive found out that with my tv lineup there is no channel 1(odd i know its a custom lineup for the campus which is surprisingly included on zap2it). so my channels lined up great and i got 7 days worth of the guide. only problem is that the guide is extremely sluggish when the tv is running at the bottom and im trying to scroll on guide. also when i try to get to a channel i have to type one below the actualy channel number to get the correct channel(eg. put in 54 to get channel 55). this problem made me add a blank channel numbered 1 so that the channel numbering would be correct for using the remote, however after i did this the zap2it plugin stopped working and now everytime i open MP the plugin notifies me that my subscription may be expired or my lineup is wrong. i just subscribed last week so it cant be that. i removed the blank channel but it still does this. does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this and the channel numbering issue?

re-install
i reinstalled MP and the problem is gone. but there is still another problem. the guide is messed up. it downloaded the listing and everything but channel 3s listing is on 2 and 4 is on 3 and then 4 has nothing. every channel after 4 is perfectly fine. how do i fix this problem? like shift the first 2 channel listings to match their correct channel?

Is there anything in the EPG log file?
Did you auto-tune so the plugin would identify the channels?
When you re-installed did you delete the entire MP folder?
Did you uncheck the select channel by index?

where do u find the log? yes i auto-tuned and the plugin named all the channel right except the 3rd and 4th channels. the 3rd channel has the 4th channels name and the 4th has no name at all. after the 4th everything is perfect. when i re-installed MP i deleted the folder containing leftover files. where is the option to select channel by index?
In the log folder in you MP install folder. For Example:
C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

In the MP setup (configuration.exe).
Select Television on the left and at the bottom in the right pane
there is a "Channel numeric selection" with a check box
for "Select channel by index (non-US)"
If this is checked you are selecting a "channel" by the position
it is in your lineup and not a channel number, so if your "Channel 4"
is in the third position in your lineup you would tune it by going
to channel 3 on the remote.

thanks the channel indexing thing fixed the channel selecion problem. but channel 4 is still unnamed and 3 is named after 4 with 4s guide. channel 2 is named properly but it still has channel 3s guide. i force updated zap2it just now and ive posted the epg log. http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/10549
I think I am a little confused on what you are saying then.
You log does not show any channel 3 but does show that it
identifies channels 2 and 4.

there is also a line that states it cant find channel 3." 114. 9/10/2006 12:36:47 PM Could not find a match for WCFN/3". so it names channel 3 after 4 and ignores channel 4 altogether when it names the channels and updates their guides. how can i get it to recognize that it is naming channel 3 after 4 and then ignoring channel 4 altogether?

Are you saying channel 4 is not 4 WCIA?
Can you post a screen shot of your channels from the configuration?
(configuration.exe->Television->TV Channels TV Channels tab sorted by channel)
Have you tried renaming channel 3 to "3 WCFN"?

alright ive attached the images of before i do anything. that is how the plugin renames my channels. then i rename 3 and 4 properly and restart MP. the after screenshot shows what the plugin does to my channels after ive renamed them and restarted. it renames 3 WCFN to 4 WCIA. however it also downloads the channel guide properly for channel 4 so my guide looks like the guide screenshot. also another issue is that once it has renamed the channels incorrectly for me then everytime i start MP it tells me my subscription doesnt match or somethign and it cant update. then i have to name the channels correctly so that it can update.its very wierd.
