I notice that there is a new version of Kodi's "MediaPortal PVR Client" (dated today!) for Kodi version 19. It might be worth trying that. Download it from here.
If it still does not work, I think that you will need to...

I couldn't get it to work, either I can see the TV guide but TV channel won't play or keep saying TV server starting up 0%.
Any idea?
I've been using version 1.2.2.0 for years and have found no need to upgrade to newer version. I hate it that skins loose compatibility with almost every new version. And new skins are too 'fancy' for my taste. I use a customized version of the default wide skin with only Videos and TV in the main menu.
I use mediaportal for recording...

Not quite that simple - or that complicated. I have used Schedules Direct for years and highly recommend it.
There is a complete "how to" guide in the MP Wiki.
Read that - yes it requires some work and time to get it going - but once running it's reliable and a very comprehensive EPG is the result.

.....Doh!!!!
My bag entirely it seems!
Did a full install of 1.29 last week....instead of the usual upgrade.
Although I did an export/import of settings...perhaps the epg settings weren't passed on!!?
When I actually looked at the epg page.....only BBC 1 HD was selected....
Thanks...all sorted now!!

I've made a workaround using Autohotkey. If you don't want to install that should this problem arise for you, you can use my compiled .exe and add it to the autostart folder of Windows 8.1 and above.
The functionality then is, when you press the Volume Up button on your MCE remote, this will send ALT+TAB to your HTPC, bringing...

Been using zap2xml to pull guide data from tvguide.com and write tvguide.xml for xmltv for years -- zap2xml suddenly fails with subject error after logging in to tvguide.com OK.
Anyone know what the message means or what's going on?
Edit: appears to have been a temp problem with tvguide.com that cleared after 3 days.

I think it’s about having the update at the right time and not during watching TV or a movie. Automatic updates with boot countdowns are a nightmare.
Secondarily I learnt that many updates bring new problems, especially with drivers etc., so it’s better to wait for the updates of the update, especially if major things are changed.

After I performed the usual "Change channel" for the 5 recordings with changed channel names mentioned above, all of the recordings were mapped to the appropriate channel logos.
I'm afraid there is little hope for my DVB-C provider. Not only are series and episode tags missing, even the naming is inconsistent. The "COMMENT" tag...

Netexplorer.... Tried something like that once upon a time and it was just too complicated/complex/convoluted of a solution.
A lot like using a sledgehammer to swat a fly. besides selecting a program on the tablet with EPG wouldn't change the main screen it would display the show on the tablet. I wrote an application to display the...

I'm now using the Digital Devices Cine S2 V7A.
I had 2 blue screens when recording + network load (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION with NSIS und tcpip.sys in stacktrace) but that seamed related to my network card: after installing the driver from the mainboard website, it runs stable.
I'm still surprised that the power delivered by the PCIe...

Hello

No issues in Christchurch. You could tune an out-of-region version of the channel. I think the only difference is that you get a different set of adverts. I just choose ‘scan single transponder’ for the 2 TVNZ ones to keep it manageable, though you still have to decide which TVOne you want.

I've just switched over from windows media centre to MediaPortal (

That panel is not quite as clear as it could be. :(
The first tab ("Channels") is simply a list of everything that "TV Server" found during the scan. You can re-order this tab as you want in order to locate channels in the list, and select and deselect channels to control what channels are available to the EPG.
The other tabs define...

Recently I have been trying to reduce or eliminate juddering on my system. I notice it particularly with:
Horizontal panning (e.g. in travel or nature documentaries)
Horizontal "ticker tape" news feeds (e.g. "Sky News" channel)
Vertically scrolling programme credits (e.g. "Mock the Week")
I originally had my Nvidia screen-config set...
