[News] MediaPortal 1.3.0 Alpha Released (1 Viewer)

I would like to thank everyone who worked on this alpha (you know who you are!), and especially @elliottmc for all his coordination and testing work, for all their contributions to this awesome new (test-)release!

LAV installs by default on an "Upgrade" installation. You can click off the option on a "Fresh" install.

You can use the MP extension installer to uninstall LAV if you wish after MP has installed.
If you have a previous version already installed it will update to the current version 0.50.5

Inside Mediaportal's Configuration.exe, you will see the filter properties pages available in the Codecs&Renderers section.

Im not sure which version will be picked if you install MP after an update of LAV by their own developers, but all versions from now on will be available from the Extension Installer im guessing.

Will this alpha be able to upgrade to beta when that is released or will a complete reinstall be in order then? I only ask because I didn't see this in the release notes. I'm just waiting for an updated StreamedMP before I install this.

Should be no problem to upgrade from Alpha to Beta. (as far as I know)

streamedMP isnt ready yet, but there will be a post in the streamedMP forums when it is

Thanks for this, as of today none of the skins have posted MP1.3 alpha versions, so waiting on this before upgrading

As far as we can tell currently yes.
We plan to keep upgrades possible - even for 1.4.0.

Awesome guys, but I must ask, since I didn't see it in the TVServer changelog.
Has the duplicate recordings issue been fixed? Where it would record episodes of series, more than once.

I am not actually sure, from looking at the proposed fix, that this prevents the same episode being recorded more than once. I think this is a different issue, but I might be wrong.
