    Hi,

first of all thanks for this graet plugin.

I have problems getting Blu Ray from folder to work with MP 1.3alpha within My Films. The native Blu Ray support nof MP works. If I play a Blu Ray folder in MyVideos of MP it play fine (with all features). If I try to play it in My Films nothing happens.

    I get this log entry:

    Code:

Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.

If I install BDHandler it works, but without the extended features of Blu Rays (menus)

    Any hints?

    Regards,
    Flip

    Hi FlipGer, hi donpipo,
I have added an issue to tracker, see here. If you star it, you'll get notified about changes.
We plan to release a maintenance release 6.0.2 together with MP1.3 beta, so this should then include the fix.
    Thanks for reporting!

Ok, fixed it. I changed the playback and detection logic - so anybody willing to test for regression please PM me.
Use cases to be tested (combinations of the following):
MP version (for different internal playback capability):
    - MP1.2.x, MP1.3alpha
    Media types:
    - mediafiles, iso images, DVD folder, BR folder,
    setup and isntall options:
    BDhandler
    - installed or not
    BluRayPlayerLauncher
    - installed or not
    External player in MyFilms setup
    - configured or not
Extensions for exyternal player autodetection in MF setup configured or not
(yes, it's a total of 160 combinations, but would be ok to test the most common, that we support in wiki ;))

    Hi,

New b here! - I have been searching the forum for answer to this but I have been unable to fix it so far although by all accounts running the latest version of My Films should have fixed it. I am running Mepo 1.3 final and the latest version of My Films 6.0.2 but Blu Ray ISO don't play for me from My Films using the internal player. They work in My Videos using the internal player although I have been unable to get the full menu structure only the text based popup that asks what track to play. Blu Ray Handler is installed but disabled. When I click play on the film in My Films it does nothing.

In addition when I open My Films it checks if the movies I have are online this takes a few seconds and they turn orange. This works OK but then I get a popup to say that the Data Base is locked and cannot be updated.

It may well be a setting that I haven't got correct - any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

Hi Rollem1, sorry for not answering your question earlier. As there is many possible use cases possible, it would be best to post you myfilms config file, so I can see which one to check - also error.log would help, if there is any entries.

I think we are discussing BD playback under MyFilms. I have had this problem on multiple machines over multiple versions. Currently running MP 1.5.0 and MyFilms 6.0.3 I can watch BD from Videos and it I attach an external player. However, some BD will not play and give an error Unable to Play: MovieObject Video codec: AVC . I cannot see anything in the logs to point me in the correct direction. I cleared the logs and played the movie 2012 receiving the error in MyFilms then played the film with Videos. Maybe someone can take a look for me.

    Thanks a bunch.

I am using MyFilms with MovieCollector 7x to manage my movies, a little over 1,000, and pointed MyFilms to the exported xml file. Additionally I created an empty file ttxxxxx.nfo, ttimdb#.nfo, in each directory hoping someday to ditch MovieCollector. At one time I knew which grabber to use but it has escaped me. It looks like the whole .nfo file intent has changed.

Again thanks, I like MyFilms to choose a movie to watch.

Hi davidpmays, just to make sure I understood right: You CAN play the movie with internal MyVideos without errors, but you do get the mentioned error when playing it from MyFilms, right? Will look at your logs when I am at home ...

That is correct. The logs have both events, the failure in MyFilms first and the Success in MyVideos second.
I really like MyFilms, you have done a great job. It may be me and not the software, we always need to be open for those ID 10 T errors we make.

    Thanks for taking a look.

BTW. I discovered a .lck file in the directory of the xml file and after removing it MyFilms updated.

Logs indeed confirm that - unfortunately, the logs are not in debug mode - could you please recreate them (same as you did - once playing in MF, once in MyVideos) in debug mode (set logging to debug in MP setup) - this will give me more information in the logs.
It seems, MyFilms is not selecting the correct object for playback.

BTW. I discovered a .lck file in the directory of the xml file and after removing it MyFilms updated.
This is usually only a temporary file for network based locking - it should be autodeleted, if you do a reboot. Will see in your next log files, if there is an issue about it.
