I think Shark007 codec pack has PowerDVD11 and an unlocked version of SAF may have it as well not looked at it for a while so not to sure.

Power DVD 11 is the only codec I know that supports the Intel Core i CPU's for hardware video decoding the LAV one doesn't at the moment. I would use PowerDVD for the x264 codec for live TV and LAV for the LiveTV ACC LATM/LOAS codec.

Time to resurrect this thread again. :D The new LAV Codec package that is available via MP Extension Installer supports ACC LATM/LOAS audio streams and has no issues when the stream changes bitrate or from 2.1 to a 5.1 stream, it works great and as its an open source project it will be updated.

I do not use the Webepg Grabber plugin just the XMLTV one but I did use TVG to setup xmltv 0.5.5.9 to grab the channel data I just made sure that tvg wrote the tvguide.xml file to the c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\Team MediaPortal TV Server\xmltv folder which isn't the default for TVG.

Freeview HD uses AAC for the audio stream which is not supported by any AV Amps / Receivers there is a BBC Blog entry about this. It seems the audio stream would need to be transcoded on the fly to AC3 for 5.1 sound to work via an AV Amp / Receiver.
