@CyberSimian thank you for your informative response.
I can confirm following my last post I did revisit Windows 7 install and installed MP1.21 (22 won't install) with a change in the SQL database option. Instead of using the default MySQL. I believe this is where the tv channel data is...
Thanks @CyberSimian
The file is there. I even copied it from the Win10 install of MP1.22 but still nothing. Will start a new post in the TV section. Hopefully get some answers there. Appreciate your help.
Persisted enough back to Windows 7 Ultimate..... but have issues that I have to ask for help with.
Previous to the disk crash, Win7 and MP1.18 worked perfectly most times with hibernation.
Now, I cannot get Win7 to install MP1.22. Tried a few work arounds with .Netframework 4 and above...
Thanks for your help investigating this. Last night I did revert to Windows 7 and then upgraded to Win 10 instead of the straight install. Will see if this makes a difference otherwise it will be back to Win 7.
I had already seen this when first looking into the wake timers. Unfortunately this is not the issue. The wake timers is set to "enable" and not
allow important wake timers only."
With PowerScheduler set as control it was going to sleep but not waking up to record.
With Windows set as...
Windows settings were still 15 minutes. According to the PowerScheduler, Windows was handing the sleep/wake functions and there is nothing stopping it from sleeping.
Did as you suggest, it did not wake to record.
Uploaded the latest logs in case there is something that can help.
I can confirm in the past with Windows 7 my HTPC would hibernate and awake correctly to record. This was the preferred method as it was unaffected by power outages.
My HPTC is now configured "plug and play" and has not gone to sleep for 24 hours. Will run in debug mode again to collect latest...
@joecrow - thank you for helping. I have attached the collected information here
- scheduled recordings
- cmd prompt showing wake up timers
- tvserver configuration
- the powerscheduler setup
- the log files.
I set this up last night around 11pm with the next scheduled wakeup to be at 1am...
Thanks for offering a suggestion. I can confirm the PowerScheduler plugin is enabled. In the plug in advises the next the computer will be wakened for a recording. This is confirmed in Powercfg waketimers, but NOT shown in the Task Scheduler.
Therefore it has not awoke to record.
Thanks joecrow. I do not use a remote so lets rule that out.
I have the power options configured as per your image already with the addition of adding hibernate to the power button menu. I will remove that tonight when I get home.
At the moment, MP will send the computer to sleep if idle. It...
Hello Forum.
I have used MP on XP and Win7 in the past without issues until 2013. Recently I decided to return to MP on the same PC and upgraded to Windows 10.
Now I have noticed after a fresh install of both Windows and Media Portal that the computer will not wake to record. It does...
