Since updating the BIOS and the audio driver two weeks ago, I have not experienced the above problem again.

I updated the BIOS and installed the Realtek Audio driver (was Microsoft) and so far, hasn't happened again, so I may have solved the problem

Thanks, I'll try that next time it happens. Would like to find out what causes it, never happened on my old system
