Thank you for this tip! I'm moving MP TV Server to a new machine. I installed the 64-bit version and most of the MP firewall rules were set to Public. I couldn't connect to the new TV Server from my old single-seat installation running 32-bit until I changed all MP-related firewall rules on...
Sorry, I didn't get email notifications on these latest replies. I just came here to report I solved the problem after adjusting power settings for "Intel Graphics". I set it to Maximum Performance. I tried many other things so it could be a combination of them, but this was the last thing I...
Thank you very much for your reply. I actually already have a Gefen HDMI Detective Plus but stopped using it because it doesn't support 4K. No, my live and recorded TV is not 4K but I do sometimes play 4K videos via MP. And I once created a custom inf file for an old monitor that stopped...
I'm running MP1 as a client only on this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZX5DWS5?ref_=pe_123509780_1038749300_t_fed_asin_title&th=1
Every single time I power cycle the TV and start playing live or recorded TV from MP1 I get jittery video. Simply changing the refresh rate via Windows to 60Hz...
Nevermind, I think. I found them in the forum. I had only checked the main webiste for MP2 plugins.

I hope these work: Featured Plugins
I've been an MP1 user for a long time. I'm interested in switching to MP2. However, I rely heavily on the features provided by MPExtended and WiFiRemote. It doesn't seem these are compatible with MP2. I wanted to check and see if maybe this sort of control is now baked into MP2 and no longer...
That happened to me too with my exe, around the same time. It was removed from both computers that had it. To fix, I copied the exe from the zip into place and when Windows Defender notification showed I clicked it and chose "Allow on device". I think I had to copy it back again after that.
@antidot, thank you for the Perl file. I think I was able to compile it with the DLLs included in the exe. My MediaPortal machine doesn't have Perl and it works fine there. The source exe I compiled and zipped passes Windows Defender scans, but it will probably still trigger antivirus...
Thank you for your efforts!
Unfortunately I'm still nervous: VirusTotal
Would you mind sharing your updated .pl file? My apologies if you already posted it. I looked through the thread and didn't see it.
If you download the file from the forums do you get an a/v warning? On the off chance the forum is injecting something malicious into the zip file, do you have access to any other file sharing services that you could post this to?
I haven't done a lot of compiling, but last time I did in Visual Studio there were options related to how much to include in the exe. The compiler you were using may have options like that too.
The hosts file updating method must have stopped working for me 7 days ago. I just noticed I have no more guide data. I'll be staying tuned for an updated exe.
