Ok: Got MP2 working, after uninstalling two October updates for Windows 11 24H2 for x64-based Systems. Unfortunately, I did not note the numbers of the updates I uninstalled, but the first was designated a security update, and the second, I believe, a cumulative Windows update. So of the three...
Ok, thanks much, Tarrow. Am I understand that MP2 is working for you on your Windows 11 machined, once you undid the updates? I don't have a KB5007651 among today's updates, strangely.
This happened immediately after my Windows 11 x64 monthly update for November. The update included also cumulative update to .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 and .NET 8.0.21 Security Update.
I open MP2 and I do not get the EPG guide as usual. If I go to Settings > Connectivity > Home Server, I am...
Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site.
Thanks, N.
Again, if anyone knows...
I recently did a fresh install of 2.5 on a new Windows 11 PC. My previous (Windows 10) version of 2.5 gave my broadcast TV channel numbers as they appear in the TV Configuration utilility (e.g., 2001 through 2005, for all the substation broadcast by Channel 2, then, next, 4001, etc., for the...
Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my...
I understand, but I don't think I was asking for development, but rather the reinstatement of something that worked well. Might be as simple as pointing me to an older version. Perhaps I can figure out a workaround, but it's disappointing.
Hi--
I have to revisit an old issue, unfortunately. I just downloaded MP 2.5, a fresh installation, on a new computer (reluctantly, because Windows 10 obsolescence nonsense). There is no "Flat-local" option under "Channel logo style" in TV settings. I need it. This something I struggled to have...
For those of us watching broadcast (over-the-air) television, it would be very handy to have a signal strength meter readily available (like as part of the right-click menu while watching). Also good would be an indication of the resolution of the signal. Recently, upon running a scan in...
Shouldn't look online if you have selected "Flat-local" under Settings>TV>Channel logo style. Should look in the local folder first.
You're welcome. Hope it all works out. You can, of course change the name of channels to anything you want in TV Configuration program.
In the path that shows in the first screen shot below, you should see a local folder for logos (you might have to turn on "Show hidden items" in Windows Explorer; I'm not sure). Populate that folder with your logos (in .png format), and as long as they are named exactly as the channels are...
