Does anyone know where I might find my GenreMap.xml file, which is supposed to enumerate the MP’s native genres? I searched my entire C drive. Thanks, N.

I am not sure whether this is part of the MP base product. I don't have one on my system. Possibly it belongs to an MP plugin or one of the tools that you are using to obtain the EPG?

"TV Server Config" does have a panel where you can define the genre mappings, but the mappings do not seem to be saved in a file. Actually, I don't know where they are saved.

Ok, thanks. I'll stop looking, then. I can't locate, at the moment, the reference to such a file I had found, and can't remember whether it was in the documentation or in a forum post.

My "native" genres changed after I stopped using MC2XML with the XMLTV plugin. I'm referring to the top categories that one maps (attaches) subgenres to. There are now fewer of those. Quite mysterious. Was better before, but I can live with it.

On the quick start page for xlmtv there is a --output parameter that is specified under the "Grabber Listings" heading which is described as necessary to specify a file name - otherwise, the output is written to STDOUT which typically means the display and would not be captured to a file if it is written to a display. Did you try that...

Looks like there's some kind of error regarding translations that I can't pinpoint about Subcentral. You'll find it in the log file I attached to my previous message. I don't understand it because I use MP in english, I search for subtitles in english and not in my native language, so I can't figure out what's translation got to do...

Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site. Thanks, N. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...
