I've had this happen several times and fixed it by uninstalling any codecs (Add/Remove Programs) that I didn't need. I think both times it was caused by one or two codecs that were installed by the Gordian Knot codec pack. I think the configuration.exe does some sort of codec scan at startup...

What is the best way to manage (delete, etc) recorded tv in MP1? If I delete the shows manually in windows, I get a bunch of blank records in MP. I can clean these records out with "Cleanup Recordings" but this also deletes any and every show I've watched! Of course I can manually delete each...

Ive got the same problem, using Tv2 or Blaster plugin on my standalone MP box. It learns all the codes, then I hit test, and the IR blaster light flashes, but nothing registers on the STB (Scientific Atlanta 1830?). I will do some checking around to make sure I don't have any config issues. It's...
