@ParaDel: I am havin' a workaround, which is not elegant but works ...

- I am sending my PC to sleep using a remote control button or the PC's on/off switch
- after resuming a tool called 'StartOnWake' kills and restarts MP
(actually is does even some things more, like firing a 'switch channel' command to my TV)

I you like to use that search StartOnWake in the froum

ziph:
there is a good description of AutoStart in the plugin download area. Why do I do that? I want to provide a HTPC that behaves like a TV to my family. They are 100% noobs and when they switch on TV nothin' else like fullscreen TV should happen (like a 'real' TV).

Another topic:
the 'black screen after restart' bothers a lot of people, also the not workin' DVD replay is a tough problem for a HTPC software. But nobody cares for that problems and I have the feeling as well for some more problems...

-> is it possible that every code related to video replay is freezed because they are developing the new TV engine? If so, why don't they tell us? I would be okay with such a strategy and a clear plan but I don't like to get not reaction when asking what's going on ... :(

thanks+regards

is it possible that every code related to video replay is freezed because they are developing the new TV engine?

wewe simply yes, would think there are some heavy going changes being done at this moment, as literally the new TV engine is independant of MediaPortal, but then the coding for MP to connect to the new engine has to be done, so from one job you now have 2 and thats all i know, chances are there may be other branches within MP that this will effect.

I can understand your frustration with the resume problem, i'm sure it will be sorted with MP 3.0.

Hopefully ziphnor's patch will enter svn and solve some of the problems.

    Regards

It has entered SVN now, remember to enable the re-init on resume in the Powerscheduler plugin configuration if you want to try it out. If you want to check thats it in effect, also enable the extra loggin option(dont remember exactly what it is called).

if thats the re-initialise tv tuners in powerscheduler options, it works for me..

The only problem i have now after hibernate is i lose remote/keyboard after a couple of minutes running on resume. anyone else experiencing this one.

I have tested further this morning with this nights svn, and it doesnt work. I only tested once on sunday and then it worked when I pressed the suspend on MCE remote.

Now it doent restart the tuner after any of the MPs suspend (via the homescreen or powerscheduler) or the MCE remote.

Now I am seriously considering buying a FireDTV box instead...

I think is not possible, write tecnotrend supported on first page of official site and after says tt is not well supported.......

please some devs help us...... i understand new engine is still in progress, but here we can't use Mp with subscripted paytv cards and "supported" hardware......

    i hope in a miracle

    Hi,
Can you both upload your logs (as attachment or pastebin), so it is possible to see whats happen after a hibernation or suspend?

For my problem , don't resolve ...after wake-up failed to start tv.......

    To both of you:
    1. Did you enable the "Re-init tuners on resume" option in the Powerscheduler plug-in(just checking :)
    2. Does it work if you restart MP after wake-up(NOT reboot, but simply close MP and start it again)?
    3. If you have extensive logging enabled in the Powerscheduler config you should see some log lines telling you whether the RE-init is enabled as well as a log line everytime it decides to call stop on the recorder. I would suggest checking that this is occuring as it should.

    To mrmojo666:
Do you have any logs after applying the SVN that contains the patch? Looking at the last log in the thread you linked to it doesnt seem that way.

    To JBN:
I read on www.digital-everywhere.com that some people were also having problems with FireDTV and standby in some cases ;)
