    Hi,

I don't know if this is the right way to do it but i found this entry in mantis and it's status was feedback so I thought I make a thread about it because I couldn't find an old thread discussing this issue. Allthough it's a minor problem I have noticed this once in a while.

When you hit the backbutton the menu on the left actually goes away but the message in the middle stays there and after 10 sec or so the menu is back again. I've included my logs but I don't think it reveals something other than it can't connect to database which is natural in this case because I followed the "Steps To Reproduce" in Mantis which tells you to turn of TV-service.

For logging purpose I turned of tv-service but I also get this message that it can't connect to the database when I'm not running MediaPortal with admin rights in Vista but the back button issue is the same

    Hi,
Nope not the correct way ;)
If you compile the source yourself then you have to include build number(SVN revision used in the test), if not & you're using a older build the issue could simply already be fixed. Don't know which one you used in your test above...

Okay, sorry I missunderstod the "feedback" thing, thought it meant that the developer wanted feedback before continuing trying to fix the bug. I haven't downloaded any svn or compiled any source myself I just used the svn build from last friday and in mantis it says last update of this issue was last sunday so I can probably expect a fix in this weeks svn.

But speaking of downloading the source and compile it myself is it possible for me to download the source from sourceforge.net/projects/mediaportal and compile it and debug with visual studio? I was thinking about my problem with scrambled channels that when you can't reproduce my problems but maybe if I could debug it myself I maybe at least find where the problem is probably not fix it but still...
