is there a tv database file? I cant find it .. I have refreshed the epg in "manual control" in the tv setup program
it now plays tv on the main pc, but my Ethernet connected pc crashes still after deleting the db3's on both pcs

No... which is why you can't find it... and why I asked you to post the log files (so I can see what is actually wrong).

You may have deleted them unnecessarily.

ah figured it out... the sql database was corrupted... after uninstalling MySQL on my tv tuner pc and reinstalling MP.. all is good now
