100% Signal Quality but 0% Signal Level?! (1 Viewer)

Hi there!

I have a problem with TV-Server...I've made a fresh install of my PC...then i installed the drivers for my TV-Card...all fine...Then i downloaded MP 1.0.0.0 RC2 and installed it. In the TV-Server-Configuration, my TV-Card is listed...i can search for Channels also!
BUT if i go to "Manual Control" and click on "Start TimeShift" the Signal-Quality-Bar goes to 100%, but the Signal Level leaves at 0%...
TV-Server can also grab EPG Data! And i can view the Data in MediaPortal! But if i Turn on TV in MediaPortal just a black Screen is shown...

Any solution for this?!

ATI drivers, vmr9\evr (search lots of posts regarding this) are the usual causes, also can you preview the channels in TVServer config.

ATI drivers? No..i have a nvidia card! These are my SysSpecs:

Vista Business x64
Intel Core2Duo e4400
4GB DDR2-800
GeForce 8800GTS/640MB

and no the Preview doesnt work...

Well...i've installed Vista Codec Pack and restartet the PC...Now if i go to MyTV in MP a Message is shown (Sorry, that this is in German, but i don't know the Translation of it!):

TimeShift konnte nicht gestartet werden
Graph konnte nicht erstellt werden

Try to install this:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86) SP1
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64) SP1
MSXML4.0 SP2

Hi!

I've installed all the applications you've said...But it's not working

I've added some Screenshots of my TVServer Configuration...Maybe i did something wrong?

EDIT: Before reinstalling Vista i've used Vista Business 32bit with MP 1.0.0.0 RC2 and everything worked fine. The only thing i've changed AFTER reinstalling Vista is, that now i'm using the 64bit Version of Vista! Same MP Version, and up2date TV-Card drivers from the Hauppauge-Homepage (And yes, 64bit ist supported)

EDIT2: I'm trying dvbdream now...i'll post the result when my tests are finished!

EDIT3: Now testing dvbdream...Working! Testing again in Mediaportal...Not Working

EDIT4: Now i'm trying the latest SVN build of TV-Server...Not Working

EDIT5: Now i'll reinstall the complete MP...Working!
(But only if i choose the one option, where the tv is placed into MediaPortal, MediaPortal+TV-Server didn't work!!)


But how can i use TV-Server?! Maybe i'll use it with XBMC...Is it possible to usw MP with it's built-in TV-App and install the TV-Server at the same time?
