Sorry about the delay in responding...

Goto MediaPortal Setup > Decoder Filters > DScaler Video Decoder

Select Use Accurate Aspect Ratios

Hope that helps !

I'm not sure now that it actually does work - sorry about that
:sorry:

C:\Program Files\Zoom Player\zplayer.exe /LOCKFS /Q %filename%

I'm seeing this same problem when using an external player. I've attempted to reinstall MP with minimal configuration to eliminate any possible configuration issue. The problem occurs every time when attempting to play a file inside a folder the first time. The external player is launched but the %filename% does not seem to be passed. After an exit out of the external player and selecting the same or any other file in that folder everything executes as expected. The issue will reoccur each time with the same circumstance when changing to a new folder and attempting to play a file.

I'm unable to replicate the bug with local files. I can replicate the issue each time with files shared from my Windows XP SP3 machine. I attempted to map the in MP using a mapped network drive and the UNC path with the same results. I attempted to copy media files over to my Linux machine running Samba and I was not able to replicate the issue with this share.

Also, when I attempt to use the MP internal media player it does not seem to be a problem. I'm guessing there is some type of timing issue within the code executed to launch the external player. I also attempted to install the latest SVN but I had the same exact results. I was also able to replicate the issue on separate installation on separate machines.

Movie Playback Problems

I may be in the wrong area but here goes. I am using streamed MP and most movie playback works fine. However some movies I have ripped the complete DVD so that I get a menu screen where you actually have to push play to start. These movies will not play back. I either get only the menu screen or I get a distorted picture. The movies play fine using VMP. Any suggestions ?

Thanks,

Bryan
