MP2 - V2.1 2.1pre: Crash with AmazonPrime under OV (1 Viewer)

I played a little bit around OV and looked at Amazon Prime. Note that I don't have an account and therefore no credentials entered. When clicking on TV MP2 crashed.
I was not prompted to enter account information at any time, yet there should probably be a check or something for not trying to connect without proper preparation.

Hi HTPCSourcer,

seems to be the same crash as with OV 2.3.0.0 in MP1. The first time you start OV 2.3.0.0 it crashes. The next time and all subsequent times it does not crash anymore. Did not test this in MP2.1 though. Still fiddling with media import.

Interesting. I tried again and indeed this time the screen looked slightly different:



No more crash. Clicking on a tile now throws an error message - relatively meaningless

This should be fixed now and will be included when I push the new siteutil.

@morpheus_xx , please set thread to "Finished" if you can confirm that the original issue of crashing on the first time and error message (we should see "Please authorize" or something similar) have been addressed.

@offbyone is there a way that a SiteUtil can show dialogs on their own? This would be required when browsing categories and no user details are entered yet. In this case I'd like to show a warning to user. And this should work in both MP1 + MP2

No this is not possible.
But you could add a root category, named "Need credentials!"
