2 channels with same name: 1 overwritten ? (1 Viewer)

I agree but that would not solve DonBogo's problem - it's another issue
What do you think about my previous suggestion?

Situation:

CH / PROVIDER / CHANNEL NAME / STANDARD / CARD / FREQUENCY / ENCRYPTED
1 / Mediaset / Canale 5 / DVB-S / 1 / 11432V / TRUE
2 / Mediaset / Canale 5 / DVB-S / 1 / 11919V / FALSE
3 / Mediaset / Canale 5 / DVB-T / 2 / 820 / TRUE

Channel 1 is merged with 3
Channel 2 still alone.

Now if DVB-T is scanned after DVB-S only the DVB-T frequencies still saved in the database (DVB-S frequency overwritten).

What "I need" is that both frequencies still in the database -> Same channel with two different frequencies saved. It's OK that the two channels are merged.
Because are two different DVB standard, can we save two different tuning details for the same channel ?
Then, depending the card priority set or tuner availability use one or the other frequency automatically.

I'm italian too, and my dvb-s card find some channles like "Canale 5" two times ( but i haven't a dvb-t card) i think this is a problem of scanning parameters of dvb-s in fact i get all dvb-t channels for italy, but is all black then i think theres's an error on scanning paramiters or scanning rutine. If i scan sat with my settop box don't find that channels........ here i little list of channels shoulnd't exist on dvb-s (boing, rai uno , rai due, rai tre, Canale 5 (that one :Mediaset / Canale 5 / DVB-S / 1 / 11919V / FALSE), Italia Uno (same of canale 5) , Rete 4, all channels thet refer to provider mediaset , mediaset premium 1, 2, 3 etc..... SAT is hotbird 13°

That's strange but for me is not a big problem, usully i delete those channels.

all that channels are correct.
Boeing and Mediaset Premium are transmittet also via satellite.
Are encrypted - service channels.
So there's no problem, your situation it's normal.

RaiUno -> digitale terrestre

Maybe you set top box automatically delete encrypted channels !

I'm Italian, too and I think for Mediaset that encrypt sometime its SAT signal but not the DTT one this the best solution, that is to change automatically on the DTT corresponding channel.
