I'm trying to get MP setup. I tell it I'm in the US, which apparently means it detects no cities. So I click manual tune. MP crashes right then and there.

Also, during the MP setup process, I told it to run a search for radio stations (antenna/higfh sensitivity), as soon as this started, I received a blue screen error.

Both situations are reproducable.

What should I do?

Is your setup the same? Vistaview 2020 card with Windows Vista?

I've contacted VistaView (no response yet). I know they said their Vista drivers had some issues, I'm hoping at least the radio issue is that (are you able to reproduce that?). If I hear back from them I'll let you know.

No, I am using WinXP Pro and a Hauppauge PVR-150 card.
It sucks that this is such a pain to get running.

For contrast: I downloaded GB-PVR and had a week's worth of EPG and my remote running in under 5 minutes, seriously. MP looks and feels so nice, I just wish it wasn't so hard to get running. Still beats MythTV in my eyes.

I agree. The setup is driving me crazy. I finally got my EPG working (after downloading the Zip2It plugin and getting an account at labs.zap2it.com, bit of a hassle, but OK).

Now whenever I try to change channels, it fails. I've had the program crash several times (I know it's beta so I expect it), but it would be nice if things were easier to setup. I've tried MCE and SageTV, both of which I had a basic setup running within 30mins. I've been working on MP for about 2-3 days now and so far all I have is my tuners detected, en EPG and a music library. TV is still completely non-functional. So far, no one has even provided any support for the issue either!
