when using a DVB-C card:
1/ Manual Scan : manual frequency field is not considered: it always scan with 100,000.
2/ Only the first 1,000 frequencies of a dvbc provider file are used. It could seem ok, but when you don't have the transponder frequencies and have to perform a slow scan, it's just not enough. Could this number raised to 10,000?
