<<<<< How about those new rankings? (anyway I think I see all new rankings, next to mine)
<<<<< I got my virginity back  mother will be pleased :D
    ________________________________________________________________

I just updated to "mediaportal-cvs-01-31-2006--19-18". Same problems remain!

I was wondering -maybe you non-virgins  know this- but did this issue make it to any official bug list (if exists)? Just knowing that guru Frodo is aware that we have these problems -and that WE have no more ideas what to try/test next- would be encouraging.

    Cheers,
    Ronald

Same problem, resltung in huge mem leak

    Hi all,
have the same SQL- error here with the CVS of 2006-01-30.

But my error synopsis is slightly different: the machine wakes - up from hibernate by a scheduled task.
Then a small script runs that calls WEBEPG. When TVGUIDE.XML is succesfully created, MP locks up running into a memory leak. Eats up virt. mem. completely.

It has something to do with the update of EPG from TVGUIDE.XML.

    Anybody watched similar behaviour ?

    Regards
    /Gerd

Have the same problems with latest CVS. Sound keeps looping and after about 30sec mediaportal crashes, the 2006-01-22 works fine though.

Isn't he great our guru Frodo !

As I understand this "recording" issue was reported officially as a bug yesterday and today -after checking the latest CVS- I find the problem is already solved!

THANX FRODO, MEDIAPORTAL (AND YOU) ROCK !

I hope so... that would be fantastic. I was almost 100% ready to abandon Media Center after the latest changes to the Music plugin, then this recording bug popped up.

I'll check it when I get home, and will hopefully have a positive report.

I quit Media Center long time ago, it is impossible to use with satelite TV........

but are you aware that you are on the MediaPortal forum

Thank god, it works for me now too. :D Hopefully that bug won't be popping up again any time soon...

Don't get me wrong, I've been following Media Portal since the last "stable" release, up through the release canidates and CVS', and I think the progress over the past year has been incredible... but there is just something about the overall fit and finish of Media Center, and the reliability of its basic functions, that just can't be beat... but I do hope Media Portal eventually catches up to it.

I just wish that they would kind of hold off on implementing new features, and just take a few months to clean up the code, get everything that's already in there as stable and compatible as possible, then start slowly implementing new stuff. But that's just the conservative in me talking, I guess.

    Anyways, good stuff.

Ahhhh this is fantastic! I can't wait to get home... Then wait until everyone has finished watching tv tonight... Then installing it!

I hope Frodo and the rest of the team realise just how much we value their work, and the speed at which they fix these issues (once they're officially recognised in Mantis). Rock on team! :D
