I reconfigured my Server / Client to have 1 music and 1 set of series shared as Global
I installed MP2 (along side my MP1 V5) onto my other client (Shuttle listed in my on-line stats)
Configured the client to connect to the new server - While it found the server, it did not show it as the server name "Bugsbunny" but as an MP2 Server.

Next I went into the Audo section and did see the Album I had imported (500 Classic Rock Songs), I then played the song Stairway to Heaven... Audo on my sound system sounded Great!

Next i called up the Series and found the server had imported all the files twice (screenshot is included).
I went ahead and started one of the shows and both launching it was Very Fast and the video and audio were great.
I then went and started another one using PIP.... What a Great feature!! More testing of this to come.

I am including the Installer Log, the complete MP2 Client folder, and the screenshot Series.jpg
Please let me know if there is anything else you need or want

Well is seems I have gotten hooked into testing MP2 and while I have enjoyed doing it, I have come to realize I never asked the basics.
1-Do you want me doing this
    if you answer yes
2-Is there anything specific you want tested?
3-Depending on what I find, where would you like me to put the findings.
I am not a programmer but in my day job I do evaluate / test new code.
4-Is there any code (even in development) than can make it easier to collect all these MP2 logs?

    With that asside:
I have been doing a little more on my Shuttle client with MP2
1-Closed Captioning: Does MP2 have it?
In MP1 I found English Forced Sub's for movies like Hunt for Red October and it allowed the non-english audio to be closed captioned.

2-I had shut down my client, rebooted my server, verified MP2-Server was running
rebooted my Shuttle client and started MP2
When MP2 came up I did not see the Music, Movies, or Series buttons on the main screen.
When I went to check the shares the screen told me it is currentlly attached to home server 'Bugsbunny" and The home server is currently disconnected (Home Server Connection 01.jpg). The only option available was to Disconnect.

Disconnecting and rediscovering did fix the issue.
    screenshots are included.

As I said at the start of this post, if you wish, I will be more than happy to continue testing. If there is anything you need, just ask... I would be willing to allow access thru Team Viewer if need... just tell me what you need to know.

Thanks, your tests are really appreciated! So please continue ;)
Is there anything specific you want tested?
There is no "test list" yet. Although I consider MP2 as generally stable, there could be still bugs or room for improvements.

Depending on what I find, where would you like me to put the findings.
Depending on type of finding, best is to create a thread under bug report or feature requests.

-Is there any code (even in development) than can make it easier to collect all these MP2 logs?
Unfortunately there is none yet :(

1-Closed Captioning: Does MP2 have it?
Probably not yet supported (I am not sure, if the CC is handled by an existing DirectShow filter, then yes, else no)

2-I had shut down my client, rebooted my server, verified MP2-Server was running
rebooted my Shuttle client and started MP2
When MP2 came up I did not see the Music, Movies, or Series buttons on the main screen.
I also have noticed that sometimes the server connection is not immediately established (or it is not detected). If the "series" etc. menu items are not yet visible (but server is connected), they appear after you pressed "Escape" once. This is an issue which I have no idea about yet, could be related to networking stuff.

Another note: please also take a look at the other skins :) (I forgot to set Titanium as default in Alpha3 )

First of all, also from my side, please continue to test MP2, breese. It is really much appreciated, since we can only test it on our rigs and this does not mean that everything works in other environments. So the more people are testing and using MP2, the better it will be :D
I also have noticed that sometimes the server connection is not immediately established (or it is not detected).
I can confirm this as well.
Background for breese: MP2-Client will work without a MP2-Server as well, but of course it will not have access to MP2-Servers MediaLibrary (i.e. the database) when no MP2-Server is available. As a result, MP2-Client doesn't display the audio, movies and series buttons when it doesn't find a MP2-Server because it couldn't display anything in these sections anyway.
Now to the problem itself: This happens very rarely (maybe once every 30 or 40 startups) and I can't reproduce intentionally. I always thought is is a network problem in my network, which is why I didn't dig into it, yet. But now it seems that more people see the same, so it may be a bug in MP2.
If anyone sees it again, please provide logs - let's see if we can hunt this one down :)

As I look at other skins on my client/server, I see that Playlists are included on Every Menu.

Just so happens I have the client logs from the client not seeing the server....

I was looking over the Client logs and it seems every time I go to a different menu item (Home, Settings, etc) there is an error listed in the logs.

    [2013-10-16 04:58:36,320] [263455 ] [AMQ 'ScreenManager'] [DEBUG] - ScreenManager: Showing screen 'configuration-section'
    [2013-10-16 04:58:36,324] [263459 ] [DX Render] [DEBUG] - ScreenManager: Closing screen 'configuration-section'
    [2013-10-16 04:58:36,378] [263513 ] [DX Render] [WARN ] - Serious problem while triangulating polygon ''

Edit, Just validated this error is with Titanium. Will be testing the others
    Edit 2:
    Simple Default - No Error
    MP2 Reflexion - No Error
MP2 Titanium - Every screen change
MP2 Rising Skin - No Error

Well I attempted to duplicate but did manage to find a few things... Before testing I rebooted both machines and cleared the logs.

The client and server logs are included...
There are a number of errors in the server logs on Soap and client disconnects

The Server Monitor might be a clue to this. Even after I logged into the Client, The Monitor shows as disconnected while the Menus tell me my data is available
    FullScreen 01.jpg
Following up on that I went and checked the status thru the client, again the client said connected, Monitor - No so much
    FullScreen 02.jpg

All the while I did keep an eye on the task manager
    TaskManager.jpg
(Question: Why is Mounter installed and active on a Client only install?)
As you can see the process's are running.

Seperate issue: Mrowse Media lists the client twice while there is nothing shared on it
    Browsw Media.jpg

On that same note: Why is the server folder created on the client?
    MP Directories.jpg

I hope I did not fload you tooooo badly... Went looking for 1 issue and found a few more...
As always, let me know if you need anything...

I don't know this process, it's not related to MP2.

Following up on that I went and checked the status thru the client, again the client said connected, Monitor - No so much
I can imagine that the connection was lost and didn't get reestablished yet. Sometime it takes a (short) while until server is "seen". As ServiceMonitor uses the same UPnP code it could be a generic issue then.

On that same note: Why is the server folder created on the client?
Do you mean MP2-ServiceMontior? This is intended, as the monitor runs also on client.

This is "by design": all attached systems are listed. But you are right, if a system doesn't have any share, we should filter it. Will look into this issue, as I currently improve the MediaNavigation a lot ;)

Oh, yes. This comes from a rounded "shape" (lower border) I use inside Titanium. The triangulation routine seems to have problems to handle it. But as I didn't get any visual error, I ignored it.

I did a little more checking into the install vers uninstall.
Dokan (Mounter process) was installed on the client with the exact date/time stamp as MP2
MP2 install does search for Dokan durring the install and uninstall according to the logs.

While the client (Shuttle (btw:32bit)) also has LAV Filters from MP1, the MP2 installer log shows the install of LAVFilters, the uninstall log on my client/server does not check for these filters.

I decided to tray and track a basic install of MP2 (server/client) with MySQL 5.5
I created a little spreadsheet to track some items. Just after installing the MP2 (after MySQL) I added another section to the spreadsheet to track memory usage. It has been something I have ben meening to do. Next time I will track Threads a little better.
Between the times in the spreadsheet and the MP2 logs, you should be able to get a decent idea of what I did vers what the system was doing. It is interseting to note the memory useage even while the system was idle.

Over in Plugin: MySQL database provider - better performance and no size limit for your MP2-MediaLibrary thread I added some notes and an export of the MySQL 5.5 DB after doing a small music scan.
If there is anything else you want or need, please, just ask.
