Is it possible in the mapping of buttons to hang an action by double-clicking a button?

There is no support in the remote-control interface for defining a double-press to have a meaning different from a single press . Of course, it could be added, but it sounds to me like a large change (but I am no expert on the internals of MP's support for remote controls).

But please reconsider to implement this function like with almost all other media players (Hi-Fi systems, car radios, portable players, Windows Media Player, VLC, iTunes...:
When the Skip Backward button is pressed and the currently played track progress is less than X seconds the previous track is played. Else the currently played track restarts from the beginning.

MP dont have skip back button, MP skip back step and previous track...

I don’t think it’s so right, if I pressed the previous track, then I want to hear the previous track, and not start listening to the current one from the beginning, this is how all players behave for me, including HI-FI. Audio cassette deck, CD etc.

It depends on how long the current track is played. The current track only is restarted if the playtime is more than x seconds.
I just confirmed this behaviour with the iPhone default music player and iTunes.
