    1) in now playing artist cover is shown when album cover art is there <- o.k.
no artist art is shown if no album coverart is available <- was different before

    2) installing newer svn version deletes custom music views

    no logs atm

musicViews.xml is part of svn and included in every snapshot currently since it has changed therefore you'll overwrite it on every svn update.

2nd cannot be reproduced here. Could you please check all combinations of Viz on/off && Bass off?

    hey, updates after 2,5 hours!
You´re putting some preasure on team members just before x-mas :)

    Ok:

    1) views: switched to 0.2.2.0 so this is solved anyway.
still think it would nice to
    # activate/de-activate standard views instead of deleting them (safer)
    # be able to move views up and down in the list
    # the dropdownfields: if you are satisfied with the default value shown, like "list" in "viewas" and move to the next field, it will choose nothing. you need to dropdown and select list. don´t know if this behaviour can be changed, but would be nicer.
but that´s another topic. posted this somewhere else too.

    2) using 0.2.2.0 now, bass engine, tried pm3, switched back to blue2 now, tried viz sonique supernova? (the one rtv recommended the other day) and acidspunk.

all thumbs have been created from zero since rtv made the modifications to thumb handling. everything worked fine until 12342 svn. last svn update before might have been a week ago. The log doen´t show anything unusual to me.

    Reproduce:
    go to music
select a song that has artist pic but no album art
    press "p" or "enter"
    go to nowplaying

    doublechecked
if you do this for a song with album art it cycles through album art, viz, artist art,...

the pastebin log shows that i tested with chordettes - mister sandman. it doesn´t matter that it could/should be "The Chordettes" it is the same with other songs

    http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/11587

I´ll try with viz off now an edit post.

With viz "non", I get no artist picture in nowplaying as well.
Trying with a song which has an album coverart gives the static album art

    3) sidenote

mp setup -> music checkbox "use vizualisations" only affects the preview window but not the viz in nowplaying. doesn´t seem to be right/intuitive. haven´t checked fullscreen viz

    That DOES matter enormously:)

mp setup -> music checkbox "use vizualisations" only affects the preview window but not the viz in nowplaying.

That's because "Now playing" has it's own use viz checkbox - which is the setting I asked you to test :p

posted another pastebin log trying to play "Fat Joe". no "the" involved here.

artist coverart only works on songs which also have album coverart. It worked before.

    Merry chistmas

I tried with viz on and off. no difference
I tried different sonique viz plus g-force trial. no difference

Re-tested with plain 0.2.2.0 on a second computer.
Tried to setup the music section identically.

    I could reproduce it.

But it worked on this 2. computer when vis was off in Music->nowplaying
and didn´t work when vis was on (sonique acidspunk).

will doublecheck on htpc, because I said earlier it wouldn´t be a difference.

    tomtom

Edit: display of artist art seems also to work if a folder.jpg is available but no coverart.

    so, to reproduce you need:
    # turn vis on
    # play a song with artist art
    # but no coverart
    # and no folder.jpg
    # go to nowplaying screen
