In My TV, I select TV On.
About 5 seconds later, new window pops up called ActiveMovie Window with only a black screen in it.
HDD is ticking over so seems to be processing the TV but not showing it.

Some research in the forum suggests it could be a problem with DirectX. Attached is my log ZIP file including dxdiag which shows that I am running DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). All tests come back as OK.

I have been unable to confirm that my card does not handle DirectX9 so for now I am assuming it does based on the above info.

The other interesting factor is that viewing TV directly using CyberLink PowerCinema 5.1 is perfectly fine.

It is clean install from an OS reinstall. All windows updates that it suggested have been done.

My first post to this form so please let me know if there is anything else I can provide. Please be specific.

Really appreciate the help.

Hi, I had your same problem after update my windows xp and upgrade to mediaportal 1.0.2.0

I have solved changing the setting of video render VMR9:
-Open mediaportal configuration
-Select Directshow filter control
-Select Video render settings
-Disable VMR9 and select the option Enhanced Video Render (EVR).

After this, My TV is OK and now I see the video.

I hope help you!

Bye.
