Firstly just like to say what a pleasure installing RC1 - no probs at all.
OK here is my problem - how do I add a single channel after initial scan as I am trying to add the ITVHD test channel. I recieve BBCHD perfectly and have the tuning details but cannot figure out how to add just one channel pleeease help many thanks

ok further to my previous post the itv hd test broadcast is picked up as a radio channel due to non standard video, any way i can make mediaportal see this test signal - it is working in dvb viewer etc

I noticed that it added as a radio channel as well. I changed the setting in the DB so that it's listed as TV channel instead but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

No luck so far, I can start it timeshifting but that's about it. I've attached the log in case you make anything from it.

no, I've given up for the time being. I'm hoping that when they start actually broadcasting hd material it will generate interest and somebody will figure it out. If I'm honest I was hoping for more from freesat, they state an aim of 200 channels by the end of the year and surely there will be more hd - ch4hd maybe. Going by the quality of itv's sd broadcasts their hd broadcasts will probably be a letdown anyway!

Out of interest...how do you tweak the DB to do this?

I've ITV-HD running smooth(-ish) in DVB Viewer, but I have the same "TV as Radio" problem in Mediaportal; I get sound but no video?

You have to change the fields in the tuningdetails and channel tables to make the channel tv rather than radio (you set radio as false and tv as true). It's a waste of effort though as MP still deems the feed as audio only so you can't get a picture. Shame really. Dunno if anyone can be done about though, even just by why of a tweak/bodge.
