It would be awesome to use fanart with the music, movie section. This will make MP the perfect htpc user interface ever build, no doubt about it.
Doable, defenitly, but someone has to do the programming. Please, grab some books and begin to study, we're counting on you

What i am missing is not the knowledge but the free time to do it. I already promised John i would help him on his Movie plugin for MP but couldnt find time to work on it yet :s

I was wondering if its also possible to EASILY change the home screen.

I mean i am using the plugin "TV-Gemist" and i would like to see it in the home screen instead of Music Vids for instance.
Now i have to press the up button and choose the V button (next to the exit button) on the "white" screen to show more plugins and to click on the plugin i want.

That's really not bad, as long as you don't want to physically remove any items. You can open up the basichome.xml and change the hyperlink tag of all instances of music video to the id of TV-Gemist. You can get it's id from the very top of its skin file. Then just replace all of the mymenu_musicvideos* images from the Aeon media folder with ones that say TV-Gemist (otherwise it will still show "Music Videos" but take you to TV-Gemist).

(without the semi transperant border and mybe a zoom effect)
I'd like to do it myself but would need some pointers...

Well not exactly...
They are still a bit small and I think the unselected banners are a bit to mutch greyed out.
Here is a photoshop of what id like (maybe add a little greyout for the unselected banners:

I installed PR's version of Aeon Wide yesterday, and my main gripe with it was the number of series shown (too few) and the size of their banners.

Why not cramp the banners together totally and get like 12 banners on the same page? Add a zoom effect and I'd be a happy camper?

Great work on the skin from everyone though! It's really looking good and is my fav together with Monochrome

OT: There is however another XBMC skin to look at...

Wow. That is a fantastic Skin! Especially for TV Series... i love that series list, for guys like me with 250+ series it makes it so much easier to have the long list on the right and the artwork on the left. And those Season / Episode views are awesome too!

Yeah Vision 2 is really nice i run it on osxbmc on my hackintosh along with Aeon, i must say though i prefer Aeon, on the xbmc its a different class..

you must also add a map "gemist" in the animations folder and put some pictures in it to see them as background.

the 2 tv-gemist.png files you must put in the folder

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\

and you must also add a folder "gemist" where you can add some backgrounds
