Skin Updates - TV Home and TV Guide

Hi,

Inspired by Trevor's fantastic work, I thought I'd dabble and fix a niggling problem with overlapping text for systems that include AM/PM in the time on TV Home and TV Guide.

You can see the overlaps below, and my fixed versions of MyTVHomeServer.xml and MyTVGuide.xml.

Reworked GlobalSearch

I was not that happy with the 1st pass I did for GlobalSearch (version 0.1.5b) so have given it a face lift.



Made the menu now slide on the initial screen but there seem to be a problem with the plugin where it does not default to listcontrol after a search so you have to hit the right arrow to get to the list...can't seem to be able to anything about this in the skin file...

Also some text tidy up, hover placment and enabled overlay.

Also made a minor change to Now Playing screen, menu was to wide and could overwite the Album name...

PS. Tried something a little differnet for the fixed menu of the 2nd GlobalSearch screen...thoughs?

Attached is a rar with my progress on the My Films screens. Not completely finished but getting there.

I didn't have the My Films plugin installed so first had to get the plugin and see what it could do. As it has quite a few options i spent too much time adding my collection and too little time on the skin files

In the screenshot you see 2 labels named 'Custom 1' and 'Custom 2' these are the 'Detailed Supplementary Informations' labels as you can configure through the MesFilmsSetup.

At the bottom of the detailscreen you see three buttons used to show different pieces of information. The 'Custom' tab shows the third optional field, i have this configured to show comments about the movie. Just set it to whatever you like it to show..

Please note this is a work in progress, it is better than what's in the 1.0 version that's why i'm posting it early. High demand and all that

Nice work.
Some suggestions:
1- personally I would prefer covetrs bigger or more coverts per page and less background showed. Just a personal like, no more
2- I think that, in the detailed view, would be needed a change of the buttons colors to indicate that you have gone from the "play-back-refresh-first etc" zone to the "description-actors-custom" menu. With the actual format is hard to apreciate. A solution: The second menu could be grey or difuminate when yoy are in the first. Or anything similar, dont know.
3- I dont think that the "custom" tab is needed if you have configurated a field containing only one linea. In my case is showing only the "languages" field, so you only read "español" or "dual" in that tab. Btw in what file can I find "custom" for translating it??

Strange things happen within the home --> RSS details setup.

1) Choosing the feed you want doesn't have any effect (what stands on the first line in the RSS.txt file will be taken!?)
2) Changing the number of news items and pressing OK results in a fault. Exiting out of the config and going back in the home config generates always in a fault. (in dutch, sorry...)

Is this a common problem and what to do about it?

Something else, maybe somebody can post a hole bunch of pictures showing the progress of the various sections of this skin.

could someone point me to the best file to change the font color of the files (ie in movies and music)... White is really a strain to see on the gray background.

I am fairly new to skinning, and have checked out the skinning section in the wiki. However I am not sure if I will need to tweak alot of the xmls, or just one.

sorry for my noobness.. I read through the billion pages and didn't see much on this particular issue, on that it has been brought up.

Thank again for everyone working on this skin... By far the best that I have used.
