After a quick test with monochrome on this comp it doesnt appear to work. Just reloads the current menu.

The "Play DVD" was some sort of hack that only works from Home, not Basic Home. It is a recurring question with which I've struggled as well. Maybe some Dev can jump in and fix it...

Looking at the MP code the DVD id seems to be 3001

Don't have MP installed here so can't verify if this is actually correct.
Which source file are the IDs listed in please?

Found this ID in MediaPortal\Core\guilib\GUIWindow.cs which lists all standard windows in MP

If i use ID 3001 as hyperlink and press that button in Aeon Wide BasicHome MP shows a dialog requesting me to insert a disc. Don't have a dvd to see if it actually works though.

Can somebody please review the ForTheRecord screens? If I try to view the current program guide, nothing is displayed but "Hier fehlt Text!" (german; means "missing text here"). When using BlueTwo wide, everything is okay, program guide is displayed as expected.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that I am using the most recent Aeon files from SVN. MP 1.0 RC2 (no SVN), 4TR latest one.

This is odd.....just tried this...all works fine..changed language to german and still fine......?

Has this ever worked for you on Aeon wide skin?

Can you do me a favour, clear the MP logs, reload MP and generate the error then post the error.log and mediaportal.log files?

Thanks

Trevor
I finally managed to get the logfiles you requested. Find them attached.

Another thing: I just installed the latest SVN version of MP and Aeon 1.1. When changing to 4TRs screen, MP tells me about a "missing or invalid file 4TR__TvGuide.xml" and "... 4TR__Home.xml". Of cause they are missing, Aeon ships with files names 4TR_TvGuide.xml" and "4TR_Home.xml" (both with only one underscore). After renaming those files the screens are displayed fine, except of the problem from my first post here - same issue as before.

I grabbed the most recent BasicHome.xml from the SVN and plugged in 3001 for all of the DVD hyperlinks, and that did the trick. I only tested with Daemon Tools, but this should be no different to a physical disk in the drive. With no disk in, MP prompts to insert one, and if there is one present, it will play.

    Updated version of BasicHome.xml attached.

    Cheers,

    Rob.

Had a quick scan, will test all conditions later, but one question is what version of 4tr are you using?

I did notice the double underscores in earlier versions of the skin files but when I built and tested the skin files I found they were unecassary.

I will unpack the earlier versions of 4tr and see how thoses original skin files looked

So... When can we get AEON looking Moving Pictures xmls? I tried to fix this myself, but my skinning skills aren't exactly what you'd define as "skills". Or is everyone just happy with the generic skin files that comes with the plugin?

mattsk88 did one version for Aeon, but to be honest the default is so gorgeous, it would really take something special to change from that look.

    now there's a challenge :)
