Hi Guys, I have a strange problem...
Yesterday I have watched TV totally perfect, to one channel whole evening. At the end of the program I wanted to switch to another channel, and tried a channel I did not watch before(CNN). The program tries to start, and shows a freezed immage of the channel I choose.. No way it wants to start palying , no matter what I tried. When doing a CTRL-ALT DEL, I see my processor is extremely busy.. 100% (Dual core 2.4Ghz, windows XP, 4gb ddr2), of which about 70% for mediaportal.exe and 30% for McShield.exe (Mcaffe virus scanner)...after another few tries(go back to first channel, turn TV On and Off, turn media portal On and off select other channels that worked before...etc. ), Medial portal crashed and closed.
Restarting Mediaportal doesnt help, now with all channels the program freezes, processor 100%, mcaffee + Mediaportal.. OK Uninstalled TV Server, Uninstalled Mediaportal, reinstalled both programs, Client plugin, last SVN's... But it went from bad to worse..
Now when I try to start the Tv Server configuration panel, to scan the TV channels again, it states the TV Sevice has not started, "shall I start it?" YES.. nothing happens.. CTR-ALT-DEL shows "Service TV.exe" is running.. but when looking in Sevices under system manager, it states the TV Service is not started.. when I try to start the sevice from the Services panel, it tries, but after a while it comes back it was not able to start due to an internal error, or something.
Ok uninstalled TV Server again, reinstalled again, restarted computer after completely powering off first.
No Help.
But now when I turn of the computer I get a panel showing ".NETBroadCast..something" shutting down.. I never had this before.. and it does this everytime I shut down the computer now (I tried a few times to restart my computer to get rid of this freaking problem)
Very frustrating that a whole evening everythings seems to work fine, and when changing a program, the whole system is upside down.
Anybody here who has an idea what is going on? I can try to reinstall .NET again, maybe that helps?
Thanks anyways.
