6.8 encoder package install...
Yes I followed the site instructions step by step. Catalyst 6.8(2 steps) and
Then all four steps for MMC 9.15 installation(DAO, DVD Decoder, Encoder, MMC). I also installed DirectX 9.0c (that was listed as pre-req)

Initially during the install I had selected the Typical installation for encoder package. But since than I have reinstalled the encoder package and selected Custom. Selected all three available options. ATI VIVO, VC8 Distributable, ATI Parental Control.

Not exactly sure why I still don't have ATI MEDIA CENTER Filters. Instead I have
ATI MPEG Audio Encoder,
ATI MPEG Video Encoder,
ATI MPEG Multiplexer.
among other ATI filters

For some reason the ATI installer isn't accepting your cards ASIC as elligible for the encoder instal.

Use the 6.6 encoder package as this is not as restrictive as the 6.8 ; I have both installed on my system and run MMC9.15 and MP.

Run the 6.6 encoder instal twice and force the modify settings for all options again on the second run

The three filters have to be the ATI media center ones or the graph consstruct fails.
