Oh one quick note. I do not know if this happens for anyone else, but thought I would let you know. This mediaportal CVS I have running hangs when i try to shot down mediaportal and sometimes the configuration. For instance. If I hit close or the X to close media portal the process is still running and I cannot kill the task no matter what I do until I reboot. The cofiguration is the same way but worse. It will not minimize neither so I get stuck with the window open too. Later

No that will be a problem with the Graph for your card causing the process not to end.
If I could have remote access to your system I could probably get the card working for you.

I kept telling you recently that I have no video. I assumed no video no go, but the audio works I just had to turn the line in on. However, my video is still a black screen and the dot does not show that the video is on while in mytv. I am calling it quits. I am now trying out BeyoundTV and it works with my tuner card. I am going to try out the trial until it expires and if it works I will buy it. It so far works great and I have had no problems. I had really hoped to get mediaportal to work, but its ATI's fault. They make crappy drivers and don't open source them so we can make great software. Oh well. I appreciate all of your help and thanks for the time you have dedicated to helping me out

    Thanks dude.

I have come from Rage forums looking for an alternative to Ati's multimedia center. I have followed the directions in this thread and I'm having the same issues as quoted above.

Basically, after downloading the latest CVS and running regsvr32 atimcenc.dll to apply the proper filters, I can get the sound to work, but the video window remains black. I'm using latest Cat's 6.5 and MMC 9.14 with my AIW X800XT.

We all know that ATI makes big changes to their drivers, and it's non-stop. I don't feel that MP Devs are to blame for that. The fact that ATI is the most popular NTSC card for us americans should inspire MP devs to keep up with ATI.

For the longest time, the dev group was awesome in keeping up with ATI. Now it seems that they have grown tired supporting ATI NTSC. Again I can't blame them for that. It's too bad, it keeps most of us americans away from this great code!

I guess we should give up on MP as they have givin' up on ATI.

The ATI X-series of AIW cards are causing too many problems with the current TV engine to be able to support it.
I have seen three different sets of information for the same card moniker which breaks normal TV card and our engine rules so we'll have to look into this after the 0.2.0 release.
