Albums with various artists won't play (1 Viewer)

And Alan Jackson, does not sound like a Various Artist problem.
Could it be that your problem is different?

First of all thanks on all the good work you do with the Music plugin, much appreciated. Sorry about the external plugin..... (it was late). ;-)

I went in to My Music, choose Album view, choose a various artist album and pressed P on the keyboard, nothing happened.
Then I tested the same with a single artist album, it now plays.

I use SVN from 24/2-07 0102.

Funky, yes this is definitely a problem.
i never noticed it before.
The error occured as well, when in Artist view and selecting an artist, which is part of a various artists compilation.

the sql statement for selection was wrong.
i've just fixed it and committed it to svn.

it should fix your issue.
There remains one problem however, for which i don't have a solution yet.
when you are in artist view and you have "Artist1" which is on album "VA1" and you press "p" while on "Artist1" it is ok.
When you go down one level, by selecting "Artist1", you see now album "VA1", but artist is "Various Artist" now. When you press "P" on this level, it'll play all songs of album "VA1" and not only the songs of "VA1" performed by "Artist1".
For the time being, we need to live with this bug.

Prostuff1, sorry, you were right.
Your "Alan Jackson" seems to be an artist on a VA compilation and therefor wasn't played.
Should be fixed for you as well.
