    Hi,
    During NewYears party my amplifier died suddenly :cool:. Since I had some time, I finally decided to migrate all stuff to Win7. It was a good move with one exception. I'm experiencing heavy stuttering, both for TV and video (I mean SD quality), when the audio is transmitted through HDMI which is strange considering my hardware. I see a lot of dropped frames in the video performance overlay. When I change the output device to SPDIF optical everything is fine again. I was hoping to start using Audio Renderer Changer but it seems pointless with this issue.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    kesar

    Hi there,

    Couple of suggestions:

    Have you tried setting your default direct sound device as your HDMI device, and then set MePo to use the default direct sound device?

    Have you tried different drivers for your HDMI device?

    J.

    Jay, thx for the reply. I did more research and here is the update:

    I turned on SPDIF, changed output to Default Device and configured Audio Renderer Changer. I also installed Realtek drivers (Windows drivers previously) for the sound card. And now the stuttering apeared at the beginning of TV timeshift and was gone completely after a few minutes, irrespective of audio output device.

    So now I am completely lost. It is not related to audio output but the stuttering continues. The strange thing is that on the server the picture is flawless. So I assume the problem might be connected to:
    - network;
    - timeshift drive;
    - codecs/ MP client config.

    I attach recent log and there is a lot of "compensated frame" notifications. Any suggestions are welcome.
