Almost giving up on TV3 (1 Viewer)

TV-Server Version: RC4
MediaPortal Version: RC4
MediaPortal Skin: Default
Windows Version: XP SP3
1. TV Card: Hauppauge PVR 500 Dual Analog tuner
2. TV Card: Hauppauge HVR 1100 DVB-T

I have the following troubles with MediaPortal:

1) Using IR Server Suite 1.0.4.1 I am able to change channels on the STB from within the TV3 Server config (using the test function in the TV3 Blaster plugin), but when I try to change channels from the MediaPortal client nothing happens (client and server running on the same PC). The STB is connected to CVBS #1 (PVR 500).

2) When I try to change channels, the problem with the blaster is one thing, but the live picture behaves really strange too. The picture continues without sound for 15-20 sec. Then the sound comes on, but 15-20 sec. behind the picture and at the same time the picture freezes until the sound catches up with the picture. At that point everything works again. This only happens when I try changing channels with the STB. Changing channels between DVB-T and normal analog antenna works fine.

3) I am unable to import XmlTV (tvguide.xml). It worked perfectly on 0.2.3.0. Now I first get an error saying the file tvguide.xml is not found. Restarting the config helps on that but now it will only import 37 channels and 0 programs.

Regarding 3: Have you mapped the channels in the Mapping tab? I keep forgetting, and being told the tvguide.xml isnt found! So make sure channels are mapped to the xml file first!

rekenaar: I will try the updated blaster file.

revs: Thanks - that did the trick.

One more thing to solve (2) and I am ones again a happy Mediaportal user :)

The updated blaster file didn't help. I changed the # key on the remote to blast "Next Channel", and the Input Service.log shows that it is sending the "SendTo(BlastIR, Response, Success) but nothing happens. It works from within the config windows (hitting the test button).

I solved point 2. I changed the Audio codes to MPA from CyberLink? (used to work in 0.2.3.0 ).

    Just to make sure:
You stopped the TV Service as well as input service. Replaced the files. Restarted everything?

It sure fixed the problem over here.

I almost solved it. I installed IRServer version 1.4.2 and removed the check "Require focus" in "MP Control Plugin for IR Server". Sometimes the remote stops responding, but for the most part it works.
