OK i just tried the "test" and it didn´t work at all. There are no results at all and in the end amc updater crashes again.:( I just searched for a 64bit version of mediainfo but i found nothing.
I also tried the original mediainfo prog and this worked normaly in version 0.7.7.6 with the same files.

Hiya,

Okay - well at least we know it's the MediaInfo.dll which isn't working here. Can you try the Winx64 version available here : SourceForge.net: Files. Or try the latest Win32 version in the same download if that doesn't work. The mediainfo.dll needs to be in the AMCUpdater application folder.

I still don't have a Vista64 machine available for testing so this is always a tough one to troubleshoot!

Thanks,

Orion.

any solution so far?

Not yet I'm afraid :(

I've installed a PC with Vista64 and am trying to replicate the problem. Ideally I'd just build a native 64bit version but I'm having trouble with Visual Studio for some reason. I'll be working on this again in the morning, hopefully I can get you a working version then.

Cheers,

Orion.

Hi,

That should be possible already. Ensure that none of the Internet fields are selected on the Database Fields tab. It depends which version you're running, but there should be a note at the bottom of that tab saying 'Internet Lookup Required' if your selected options require a lookup.

Let me know some more detail if that doesn't help!

Cheers,

Orion.

p.s. You always have to give it a valid Internet Parser file, but it won't be used if the configuration doesn't need it.

looking forward to it. Thanks orion!

Here you go - please give this a try and let me know.

I could not build a native x64 version of the app unfortunately. Last time I released x64 editions was long before we added all this Internet lookup malarky, and the Internet grabber.dll requires some 32bit MediaPortal dlls. I could be wrong but I haven't yet found a way to use these 32bit dlls in a 64bit app. It compiles fine but falls over as soon as it tries to access those files.

Nevertheless, the attached version is compiled and tested on a Vista64 box and seems fine to me. Hopefully it'll work for you too!

Cheers,

Orion.

Sorry Arryo - I replied to the wrong post. That was meant for RoninFR - he's on Vista64 and the import wasn't working at all for him.

The image download issue is still unresolved - I didn't write that bit so need help there. I'll post as soon as there's news - the full 0.8 release is waiting on getting that fixed.

Cheers,

Orion.

Hi Orion,
In Interactive mode, if the database xml file doesn't exist we can create it.
Can you add the same functionalty in batch mode (auto create the xml database) ?

Hey Zebons,

No problem - that should be very easy to add in.

Have you had a minute to look at the image download problem? Hopefully it's just a change to the IMDB xml file?

Thanks,

Orion.

EDIT : change now implemented and checked in to SVN. Please get latest and have a go :)

SVN still shows 0.7.3. July 19, 2008 for me.
SourceForge.net: Files
Nick.

Sorry mate - that's the link to the official release site, not the SVN! The SVN only contains the latest development source code for sharing between the developers. I've actually no idea if the SVN is publicly visible, though it's stored in the main MediaPortal Plugins SVN on SourceForge, not in my AMCUpdater site.

The current Beta 0.8 is the one already posted in the forums - the latest SVN only contains that change to allow the auto-creation of a blank .xml file in batch mode, if the file isn't found.

Cheers,

Orion.
