Hi
Is there any possibility to grab movie info from Film - Internetowa baza filmowa - fdb.pl. This is polish IMDB site. I've been trying to do it on my own, but my knowledge about xml scripts is basic. If someone can give me some hints how to do this, I would appreciate it.

Here is a xml grabber file for fdb.pl
It's not quite good for lists (Actors, Directors) but Titof the grabber's author works on a new version which'll be better to grabb that site.
You can try that file and use it waiting the new grabber

I'm using script for filmweb.pl and I'm not interested in IMDB This option would be very helpful...

ANT Movie Catalog is written in Python not in c#, I don't know if it's possible to launch directly those scripts.

What do you mean by 'open amcupdater in mp' ? Using MyFilms ?
Can you post your logs files (amcupdater has an AMCUpdater_Log.txt log file).

I have noticed something that I'm not sure is a bug or intentional. When it detects that entries need updating (e.g. when the file has been moved to another folder, which I have been doing quite a bit of lately), the Original Title field is updated to the filename. This is what is supposed to happen for imports (new files detected), but is it supposed to happen with existing entries that need updating?

My preference is no, and unless I am mistaken I don't remember this happening in previous versions?

EDIT: Just noticed this entry when reading Change Log on first page; "Changed logic so files already in database which move locations are not re-scanned for Internet data (media data will be refreshed)". So it appears that a complete refresh of media data happens. I assume that the importing of the Original Title happens as part of this. Does this mean I will have to uncheck that as an updateable field to prevent this from happening?

My logic tells me that once you have done your internet look-up and have all your details, including Titles, as you want them to appear, you don't really want them changed. OrionHall, I know you're probably sick of whinging whiners like me asking to have everything their own way, but is it possible to look at something here?

This took a bit of digging to find out what's happened here! The feature to include media scanning when a moved file is detected was originally discussed here...

And that makes sense to me - if your files have moved then maybe you'd want to update the MediaLabel and MediaType fields as z3us did when burning files to disk. Initially this also performed an Internet lookup, though that was removed recently.

So we have two legitimate views of how this function should cope when a moved file is detected

I think I'll just add another checkbox - 'Rescan File When Moved' or similar. If enabled, the file will be scanned as for a normal import / update run, and will update the fields selected on the Database Fields tab. If disabled, then Source will be the only field updated to match the new location.

I'll add it to the to-do list - should be easy to implement.

Thanks for the digging, Orionhall. Yes, that makes sense, as I just moved from 0.7.3 to 0.8.5 recently. And I undersand why you moved to doing a full media scan.

If it's not just an easy job, then don't worry about it, I will just make sure I deselect the Original Title field when I run a scan after moving files (or just use 0.7.3 on those occasions).
