Thanks for the digging, Orionhall. Yes, that makes sense, as I just moved from 0.7.3 to 0.8.5 recently. And I undersand why you moved to doing a full media scan.

If it's not just an easy job, then don't worry about it, I will just make sure I deselect the Original Title field when I run a scan after moving files (or just use 0.7.3 on those occasions).

Version 0.8.7 is now available from the first post in this thread. A new option to control the re-scanning of moved files has been added - please give it a go and let me know what you think.

It was pretty easy to add, though it triggered an interesting bug I hadn't yet seen! All sorted now so hopefully this will work as needed.

Make own scripts

I was wondering if there is any documentation or help-site for making my own scripts to use with AMC updater?
I've been trying to convert some of the scripts already in there, but without luck.
It would be great if it was some sort of guide to make scripts, so anyone can make them for their own country and share with the rest of the users.

Actually the grabber interface isn't delivered as it's too complex for simple use. Titof, the author is worjung on a new version for the grabber and of course for the Interface, It'll be more flexible and more simple to use. So wait a little if you want to developp your own scripts. For the moment, you can ask for a specific script if you need, I can create it with the support of Titof.

I'm wondering if it is possible to make Updater work with scripts from ant movie Catalog?
I'm using script for filmweb.pl and I'm not interested in IMDB This option would be very helpful...

ANT Movie Catalog is written in Python not in c#, I don't know if it's possible to launch directly those scripts.

Are You now sure that ist's not possible to use those scripts? I think it will be the best solution...
Maybe there are some programs that can convert those scripts?

I have a new suggestion. Its about the "folder name as group identifier" feature.
It works great, but adds spaces at both sides of the "\" . Example:
Saw \ saw V

The problem about this is that MF will look for a FanArt called " saw V.jpg" instead of "saw V.jpg"

Can this be solved?

I just realized that AMC Updater (i'm using the 0.8.5) didn't return external subtitle when subtitle name is not the same name as the movie. I have a movie with file name Bobby.2006.HDTV.720p.x264-iLL.mkv, and it only returns the correct result when i have the same name Bobby.2006.HDTV.720p.x264-iLL.srt, but if it's just english.srt, then it won't work

Thats the way it must work.Try this filename:
Bobby.2006.HDTV.720p.x264-iLL.en.srt

Z3us is correct - the code checks for another file with a) a subtitle extension (.srt,.sub) and b) the same name up to the extension. So FilmName.avi will match FilmName.sub and FilmName.anything else.sub. This allows you to have the subtitle language added to the filename of the subtitle file.
