Orion, I have 2 requests:

2- There is a bug in the "folder name as group identifier" feature, it only work with some films as u can see in my attached files.

Thanks

I have the some problem with this too. I have a folder Batman, there are 4 movies

Batman
Batman returns
Batman the dark nights
Batman & Robins

But only the last 3 are shown in folder. I guess maybe because the name of the folder is the same as one of the movie. That's why it's like that.

Hi arryyo & z3us,

I have - finally - fixed this bug. I think! I'll get the new version out as soon as possible.

Cheers,

Orion.

Will the incorrect audio bitrate issues be fixed in the new version? :)

Upon further checking, it seems to give incorrect information across the board, ie:

AC3 192kb/sec -> 188kb, DTS 768kb/sec -> 750kb, DTS 1536kb/sec -> 1500kb.

As mentioned, we tested on both X64 Vista and X86 XP and Mediainfo on its own was reporting correct information.

Cheers,

Maybe :)

Confirmed. And a bit of testing reveals why... The mediainfo.dll returns the bitrate (audio and video) in bps. My utility then divides by 1024 to get kbps. MediaInfo's GUI app divides by 1000...

I just looked it up on Wikipedia and apparently it's correct to use the decimal 1000 instead of binary 1024 for this kind of thing, so I'll have to change the code to match.

I'm slightly worried people will be upset by the change - but then again, no-one has noticed this little 'feature' - until now! Well spotted :)

Cheers,

Orion.

For DTS streams, the technically correct bitrate is 1509 or 754kb/sec (commonly mis-interpreted as 1536 and 768kb/sec) - but for me, either of the calculations works fine.

For AC3 streams, I've never seen or heard anything quoted apart from 192 (2CH), 384 (DVB), 448 (DVD), 640 (HD).

I have about 50 hard disks to catalogue and am comparing in some cases multiple versions of the same movie (HDDVD/Bluray/HDTV) etc, so for me, the correctness of the output is essential.

Thanks for checking and finding the error :)

Cheers,

-jj-

Another bug I have found is that the covers are sometimes partially downloaded, specially in batch mode. If you wanted to test, I download them using the script alpacine, try with the film reader.

I am using AMC 4.8.7 and i found today that the imdb script seems to return too little information (compared with what i got by using imdb script running within Ant Movie Catalogue 3.5.1.2)

Is there any imdb script updated for AMC? please

Another thing:
I have the option "Backup xml file" unchecked, but amcu is generating lots of AntCatalogAutoBackup*.xml files

Suggestion for a very nice feature for private videoclips

    Hi Orionhall,
is it possible to add an option as follows:
For Rescanning (or initial scan) use folder name as "translated Title" (and still filename as original title) and add a Link as Thumb with same path and filename as the videofile (except having "jpg" as extension instead avi etc.)
Reason: I have lots of private videoclips organized in Folders and added those thumbs via Thumbnailer. The folders are properly named, the filenames are more or less "cryptic" (may contain date of movie).
With this feature I would be able to properly add those films to myfilms and use e.g. "search translated title" to find my movies.
Optional: Take all videos into one entry by the "multipart" function (so having all camclips from "2008-03-04 Birthday mom" in one entry.
I would be more than happy if you could add such an option - might be useful for others too?

    Thanks for the great work,

    Guzzi
