I have an AUSTAR decoder box linked to my HTPC via an S-video cable to my Leadtek PVR3200H card. I am using MP 1.0 with the latest SVN.

The response times of changing an AUSTAR channel and the results appearing in Mediaportal is about 8-10 seconds. All other digital channels via my Digitalnow dual DVB PCI card is about 2 seconds.

Is it possible to speed up the channel changing times for the analogue input from the AUSTAR decoder box?

It's most likely to do with the timeshift buffer, which is usually a delayed due to the buffering. You would have to switch to the TV2 engine/single seat to disable it as I don't think you can disable timeshift with TV server (TV3) engine.
